Checking the Engine Coolant Reserve Tank
If the coolant level is below the MIN mark, have your vehicle inspected by an authorized Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid dealer.
Make sure the engine and radiator are cool.
- Check the amount of coolant in the reserve tank.
- If the coolant level is below the MIN mark, inspect the cooling system for leaks. Only a properly trained technician can refill the coolant and check the system for leaks.
NOTICE
If temperatures consistently below -31°F (-35°C) are expected, the coolant mixture should be changed to a higher concentration. Consult an authorized Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid dealer for more information.
NOTICE
Pour the fluid slowly and carefully so you do not spill any. Immediately clean any spills-they can damage components in the motor compartment.
Checking the Inverter Coolant Reserve Tank
- Check the amount of coolant in the reserve tank.
- If the coolant level is below the MIN mark, have your vehicle
serviced at an authorized Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid dealer.
Checking the High Voltage Battery Coolant Reserve Tank
- Check the amount of coolant in the reserve tank.
- If the coolant level is below the MIN mark, inspect the cooling
system for leaks. Only a properly trained technician can refill the
coolant and check the system for leaks.
NOTICE
Removing the reserve tank cap while the engine is hot can cause the coolant to spray out, seriously scalding you.
