How to Activate LKAS

  1. Press thebutton.
    1. LKAS indicator (white) () appears on the gauge. The system is standby.
    2. If traffic lane lines are detected, white lines () appear on the gauge.

      Operating Device

  1.  Keep your vehicle near the center of the lane while driving.
    1. The system starts operating when the LKAS indicator (green) () and the green lines () appear.

If the driver takes their hands off the steering wheel or does not adequately maintain control of steering, the warning message will appear.

If the driver does not grip the steering wheel after the warning display has repeatedly appeared, a warning buzzer will sound and LKAS will be canceled.

To Cancel

Press thebutton.

  1. To operate LKAS, press thebutton again.
  2. The LKAS is turned off every time you stop the engine, even if you turned it on the last time you drove the vehicle.

The LKAS May Be Automatically Suspended When:

When the LKAS is suspended under the following circumstances, the LKAS indicator changes green to white, and the beeper sounds (if activated).

  1. Your vehicle is driving to the right or the left of the lane.
  2. The system fails to detect lane lines.
  3. The steering wheel is turned quickly.
  4. You fail to steer the vehicle.
  5. Driving through a sharp curve.
  6. The ABS, VSA®, or CMBS™ is activated.
  7. The brake pedal is suddenly depressed.
  8. Driving at a speed in excess of approximately 94 mph (150 km/h).

Once these conditions no longer exist, the LKAS automatically resumes.

You can change the LKAS suspended beep on and off.
