Control Module Replacement

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: HDS software version 3.001.004 and later is ONLY compatible with the MVCI diagnostic tool and will not work with any of our Legacy Diagnostic Tools (GNA600, HIM, etc.). Click here for Honda and Acura Legacy Diagnostic Tools.

Features

The installation of a new replacement PCM requires the vehicle’s security (Immobilizer) system to be registered to the new PCM. This is necessary so the vehicle can start and run normally. This process involves registering all vehicle key information on the new replacement PCM. A tester and special software connected to the vehicle are necessary to complete the replacement.

Hardware

Requires one of the following testers and/or interface devices.

Testers:

Software

If your shop has a MVCI, the PCM initialization software to initialize replacement modules is free of charge.

NOTE: The PCM Initialization Software is separate from the 3G HDS software. This software will NOT reprogram immobilizer systems. To reprogram the immobilizer system or obtain key codes, you must be a Security Professional. Click here for information.

The HIM rental, with software included, is $155* for 3 days.

NOTE: It is possible to damage the vehicle's electronic control modules during reprogramming. Once the programming process has started, the process must NOT be interrupted until the process is complete. If you experience any problems, contact your tool maker or supplier. Do not contact American Honda or Honda/Acura dealers.

Subscription
