Software

The HDS software package includes software to cover the HDS PC version. The software covers all vehicles from 1992 to the current model year. The software also includes all the necessary items to monitor, diagnose, and reprogram Honda and Acura control modules. For HDS software requirements and installation click here.

  NOTE: You must be a current ServiceExpress subscriber to enroll in the software program.
  
  
• The projected software package subscription cost is $840.00*. Software subscriptions expire 365-days from the date of purchase. This provides the same updates at the same time as the dealers.
  
  
• Initial software is delivered on a CD and updates are available over the Internet (DSL or broadband high-speed connection recommended due to file size).
  
  
• If a high-speed connection is not available, software updates can be supplied on a CD.

Control Module Programming

Most 2002 and later Honda and Acura vehicles have reprogrammable PCMs, ECMs, and ECUs.
NOTE: Whenever you install a new programmable control unit or module, you must update it.

NOTE: It is possible to damage the vehicle's electronic control modules during reprogramming. Once the programming process has started, the process must NOT be interrupted until the process is complete. If you experience any problems, contact your tool maker or supplier. Do not contact Honda Canada Inc. or Honda/Acura dealers.

The following statements describe Honda Canada Inc.'s (hereafter also referred to as "Honda") policies and terms of use for Honda's reprogramming software. By using this software you acknowledge and agree to all terms and conditions stated herein. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use this software.

• You are responsible for proper reprogramming of Honda/Acura control modules.
• All problems and complaints that may occur from the use of the J2534 devices are the sole responsibility of the reprogramming device manufacturer.
• Honda will not provide technical support.
• Not all Honda/Acura models are reprogrammable. For a list of reprogrammable models, refer to the "Models That Can Be Reprogrammed" table below.
• All reprogrammable Honda/Acura vehicles comply with the SAE J2534-1 standard. You are responsible for using a compatible J2534 reprogramming device. Contact the reprogramming device manufacturer to confirm Honda/Acura compatibility before use.
• Honda will not be responsible for damaged control modules.
